Pete is a freelance digital artist and designer based out of the UK. Knowing from a young age that he wanted to become a graphic designer, he set forth in his studies to do just that. He describes his education at university as a “car crash between two vehicles”; in one car you have computer gurus able to teach programming and visual media control, in the other you have artists, musicians,..., who are speeding to reinvent the representation of art in 21st century. From the wreckage, collaboration between the corporate and cultural industries was born. Now that the smoke has cleared, Pete has emerged on the digital art scene with a new creative-corporate edge. The fusion of these two vehicles of artistic thinking has led him to many freelance projects which allow him to work and have fun at the same time. Among these projects, Pete runs his own clothing label, Funkrush, which is currently being sold in shops throughout the UK and Europe. As for his client list…it’s too long to list in entirety here; a few names include Nike, Dolce & Gabbana, Microsoft, MTV, Orange, Samsung, Guinness and Intel. Pete is also curator for the Desktopography project and a member of the Depthcore crew. All of the above has launched Pete into a solid career as a digital artist. In 2006 he was recognized by Computer Arts magazine as one in ten internationally recognized designers, surely only the beginning of his successful career.
